GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Teach First is a charity that believes education is the most powerful tool to help a child fulfil their potential. Since 2003, we've improved the life chances and choices of over two million pupils. Teach First backs the schools and children facing the toughest challenges.

We find and train the best new teachers, placing them in the areas most in need and we support schools across the country serving deprived communities.

An outstanding two-year programme

  • Trainees start in the classroom from day one. Not just observing lessons. Actually teaching them. From the start they’ll be a paid teacher, employed by the school.
  • Help pupils from the poorest backgrounds reach their full potential.
  • Gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) across the two years.
  • Get all the support you need – you’ll be supported, trained and assessed by a Teach First expert, a mentor at your school and a university tutor.
  • Ofsted recently rated our teacher training programme as outstanding.

Courses offered:  Early Years, Primary, Secondary (range of subjects), Salaried/apprenticeship, QTS with PGCE.
