Facilitator Bio - Angela Rodda
I am passionate about teacher development, from initial teacher training, early career development, through to leadership training. I am keen to work with schools on how to build effective, high quality CPD pathways into their professional development programmes for all teachers at all stages of their careers.
I trained as a secondary drama teacher and moved to a role as a senior leader in a large secondary school. I have also been the Director of a Teaching School, Deputy Director of Saffron Teaching School Hub and Deputy Director for a secondary and primary SCITT, leading on developing the new ITT curriculum and responsible for Secondary Teacher Training programme. Additionally I worked for the Department for Education as an Initial Teacher Training Associate, supporting other teacher training organisations with their readiness to deliver the new ITT reforms.
I am an experienced facilitator and ILM qualified coach. My current role as GLF TSH Director gives me a unique opportunity to see colleagues from ITT, ECT through to GLF TSH’s leadership programmes.
I have facilitated on a range of NPQs, including SL, H, LT, LTD and am always impressed by the dedication and talent of the leaders I have trained since 2021.
As Director of GLF Teaching School Hub, I am proud to be working collaboratively with local schools and other organisations to ensure our teachers and leaders are well-trained and supported throughout their careers. “Our schools are stronger by working together.”
