GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Upcoming changes -  Ambition ECF 2025

Please take some time over the Summer Term to review the upcoming changes to our Ambition Institute ECF programme for September 25 starters . Downloadable PDF attached here for your convenience. 

The majority of the programme will be familiar to you, however, there are some key changes for you to be aware of, if you have any questions in light of these changes, please don’t hesitate to contact the team.

GLF West Sussex Teaching School Hub has partnered with Lead Provider Ambition Institute, to deliver the DfE's Early Career Framework Full Induction Programme. Ambition’s Early Career Teachers programme was rated as “Outstanding” by Ofsted July 12, 2023, and we are confident in them as a lead provider and partner.

In conjunction with Ambition Institute we provide a tried and tested two-year support package for ECTs to increase confidence and expertise in teaching effectively, also helping experienced educators to deepen their mentoring skilled, drawing upon the latest research for teacher development.  

Over the two-year induction period, the programme includes: 

 
For ECTs: 

- a comprehensive introduction to the programme 

- user-friendly weekly evidence-based self-study modules 

- three one-day conferences covering key aspects of the framework 

- termly clinics covering areas of practice to build on ECT self-study  

- weekly observation and mentor coaching (using instructional coaching models) 

 

For Mentors:  

- two one-day conferences covering the programme principles and instructional coaching 

- three clinics to develop expertise in instruction coaching  

- three coaching-on-coaching sessions to develop instructional coaching in a bespoke one-to-one session 

- access to a user-friendly platform, Steplab, to support target planning for instructional coaching and ECT development
