The new Early Career Teacher Entitlement (ECTE), underpinned by the Initial Teacher Training & Early Career Framework (ITTECF), will make it a statutory requirement for all schools inducting Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to provide a two-year programme of high-quality professional development, including mentoring, time off timetable, and assessment against the Teachers’ Standards.
