Managing Behaviours and Emotions in the Early Years
The course is designed to develop EY practitioners’ use of communication and pupil well-being approaches to improve outcomes for EYFS pupils with SEND. The course will increase understanding of how the prime aspects of EYFS pupils with SEND can be enhanced and how communication skills and attachment are fundamental to the emotional resilience and self-regulation of challenging behaviour. A focus on planning for the EYFS environment will link to key theoretical concepts and will support participants to reflect on their own school/setting’s current practice. Case studies will be used to exemplify pedagogical approaches.
Further information about the 3-session face-to-face workshop that is available to all Early Year Leads, Early Years Teachers and Early Years TAs in the West Sussex Hub and the GLF can be found by contacting tsh@glfschools.org
