GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

NEW:NPQ Funding Autumn 2026

Applications for the NPQ Autumn  2025 cohort are now closed. The DfE have not yet released information about Autumn 2026 but if you are interested in any of the NPQ programmes for the next cohort, please complete the Expression of Interest form. We will be in contact with you when further information is available and when details have been confirmed by the DfE.

The specialist NPQs are designed for teachers and school leaders who want to broaden their expertise in particular areas in teaching:

The leadership NPQ’s are designed for those who are aspiring to progress into senior leadership and beyond;

NPQ Funding

Funding for Autumn 2026 is yet to be confirmed however information below outlines how funding for NPQs was allocated in Autumn 2025. Please note, this can only be used for information and reference as funding could change for the Autumn 2026 cohort. 

Funding for Autumn 2025 targetted those teachers and leaders who worked in the most challenging schools or educational settings, serving more disadvantaged communities.

Teachers and leaders from schools that met the following criteria were be eligible to full scholarship funding for all NPQ programmes:

· the 50% of schools with the highest proportion of students who attract pupil premium funding

· early years and 16 to 19 educational settings identified as having high disadvantage To know whether your school is eligible for funding, please refer to DfE NPQ eligibility lists HERE.

For all other schools who were not included in these groups, the following programmes only, were fully funded:

· NPQH (Headship)

· NPQSENCO

For any schools who were not eligible for funded places on programmes, the cost associated with each programme in 2025 is outlined in the chart below.
