GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Childhood Thrive Practitioner Course

This course takes place over a period of 12 weeks with weekly 3-hour webinars and e-learning activities which take approximately 2 hours a week. This enables a gradual building of knowledge, skills and professional relationships. In order to maintain their licensed status, Thrive Practitioners are required to undertake annual CPD to refresh practice as well as sustaining and updating knowledge and skills.

There are opportunities to train as a Family Thrive course leader which enables experienced Practitioners to lead parenting classes.

Experienced Practitioners with a proven ability to deliver CPD have the opportunity to train as Thrive Trainers which enables to the programme to become self-sustaining within MATs or clusters of schools as it has in GLF schools.

Practitioners also have access to regular podcasts e.g. Reframing 'challenging' behaviour - and putting mental wellbeing at the heart of the curriculum.
