Trainee Teacher Jobs at GLF Schools
Are you interested in becomng a Trainee Teacher at one of our 43 GLF schools?*
We always have openings for new trainee teachers, with a choice of training routes, from our employment-based routes, where your salary and training fees are funded, to our fee-funded routes, where you could pay for trainee fees by a student loan, or potentially receive a training bursary.
Starting in September, your 1-year school centred initial teacher training (SCITT) course will earn you qualified teacher status. You will spend Mon-Thurs training and teaching in school, and Fridays at one of our local ITT hubs learning with your peers. See our 'Train To Teach' section for more information.
These positions are available for graduates, post-graduates and career changers**.
Please find a sample Trainee Teacher job description HERE.
Once you have completed the 1-year SCITT course, you will then be able to seamlessly move into a role as an 'Early Career Teacher'*, where you will be supported through the DfE approved GLF Ambition ECF Induction Programme. At the end of this 2-year course you will become a fully-fledged teacher. Please see our 'ECTs' section for more details.
Current vacancies for ITTs and ECTs can be found on the ETeach GLF pages HERE but if you do not see one suitable for you, please contact our team and we will be delighted to discuss options with you. You can complete an enquiry form HERE, or email us: info@glftt.org
*NB: we also work with numerous 'partnership' schools across West Sussex, Surrey, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and London. So if you have a particular school in mind, please let us know.
** GLF Schools also offer the apprenticeship route for candidates who do not hold a degree, delivered through the University of Brighton. Please contact us for more details.
