West Sussex Teaching School Hub

GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Eligibility and Funding

Scholarship funded for all*

Due to the importance placed on supporting new headteachers and developing early career teachers, schools can access full scholarships for the following NPQs:

NPQ Leading Teacher Development (NPQLTD)(*if you are in a state funded school)
This is free to anyone mentoring Early Career Teachers or trainees on an Initial Teacher Training Programme. We expect there to be a significant uptake and would welcome expressions of interest as soon as possible (see form below)

NPQ Headship (NPQH) (*if you are within the first 2 years of headship, at the point of application, in a state funded school or in the top 30th percentile for pupils on Pupil Premium)

Additional Support for Head Teachers (*if you are within the first 2 years of headship in a state-funded school and have either completed, or are currently taking an NPQH)

Scholarship funded for top 30th percentile for pupils on Pupil Premium

Full scholarships are available for state funded schools within the top 30th percentile in relation to pupils on Pupil Premium for the following NPQs:

NPQ in Leading Behaviour and Culture (NPQLBC)
NPQ in Leading Teaching (NPQLT)
NPQ Senior Leadership (NPQSL)
NPQ in Executive Leadership (NPQEL)

We have contacted schools directly who fall into the top 30th percentile but if you are not sure whether your school is eligible, please contact our team who will be able to advise you.

Schools who are not within the top 30th percentile can still access these NPQs via a self-funded/school-funded route.
